Great game for the price April 25, 2006 HP-15C (Newport News, VA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have several PC poker games and this one is one of my favorites. I use it when I want to play 5 card draw, 7-card stud, or (more seldom) home variations. There are better games out there if you want to play Holdem, IMO. Lots of settings/options (e.g., in 5-card draw, you can set Jacks to Open, variable limits, etc., etc.). The other games I have don't have near the flexibility in options.
Poor algorithms March 1, 2005 C. J Prunty (Phoenix) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
The algorithms used for this program are absolutely the worst. The programmer needs to learn about random number generaters since the cards tend to fall in patterns. And it is too easy to figure out what the computer players have in the poker games. The only good point is that there is a variety of games. I would only recommend it for younger kids.
Not for the Hardcore November 12, 2004 Efrain Rivera Jr. (Anasco, PR United States) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
Yes, this game has tons of options and you can definitely learn how to play all kinds of poker games, but the computer's AI is very low. The computer will never bluff and will hardly ever call your bluffs. You will in no time find a pattern on how to beat the computer players. Does this mean the game is no good? No. It still is fun especially if you are starting to learn the basics of the game. The tournament is very cool but does not include No Limit Texas Holdem. Every poker game in this disk has limits on bets so you will not be able to outsmart an opponent by going all in whenever you choose. Overall this game is very good for beginners, kinda fun for intermediates and no good for experts looking for a challenge.
Really Good Game! July 2, 2004 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
Loads of games! You can play homestyle poker or traditional casino poker... and even tournaments! The bonus blackjack game is a lot of fun too! This software has tons of options so you can pretty much play however you want.. the look and feel of the game is however you want it to be. Best of all, you can almost learn how to play because it has a tutorial that explains what you're trying to accomplish - all this without losing real money! SUPER!
Really is the BEST of Poker! June 26, 2004 Lawrence (Ft. Lauderdale, FL United States) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Very cool game! You can play in a home environment like Friday night poker with the guys or play like a big shot in a casino environment. This game has tons of options and you can really set it up to play however you want. SO many games, including Texas Hold 'Em which is really great! Has a bonus program of Blackjack which is really good too, definitely recommend!
