Casino roulette uses the same basic rules and procedure in all casinos throughout the United States and Canada and in the Caribbean and other islands that offer games on the North American continent.
One to six players are seated at the roulette table. Players purchase special roulette chips, each player, with its own color, so the dealer can tell who made a winning bet and pay that player. The chips generally have a given value of 25 or 50 cents. A stack of twenty 25-cent chips is valued at $ 5.00, and a stack of twenty 50-cent tokens, worth $ 10. Usually requires a minimum of $ 20 to enter the roulette table.
A player can request the desired value for their tokens, above the standard amount of 25 or 50 cents. The dealer will specify the value of a card of a particular color, attaching a tab that will show the top edge of the wheel. The players also bet larger amounts by using regular $ 1, $ 5 and $ 25.
It is important to note that these roulette chips must be exchanged for cash on the table. The chips should not leave the table when a player leaves.
The table betting starts with the numbers 0 and 00 on top, then extends from numbers 1 to 36 at the end of the table. We refer to this area as the “inside” betting area. Inside bets consist of the siquiente: a single number bets, including 0, 00 and 1 to 36, are putting their chips into the center of the number you have selected. If that number wins, you will receive 35 to 1 for each card you have chosen. Currently, you can collect a total of 36 chips which includes your original bet. Additional combinations in this area “inside” bets are: one chip on a six bet (pays 5 to 1), a record in any of the four connectors (pays 8 to 1), a chip in any group connector three numbers (11 to 1), a notice placed between two connectors (17 to 1).
The betting area “outside”, is odd or even bets which pay the money immediately. Red or black also pays bets pairs. A bet from 1 to 18, or 19 to 36, pay just money. You will get 2 to 1 odds, if you select the winning number in the first, second or third dozen numbers. The same 2 to 1 odds are given for selecting any of the numbers in the three vertical columns of 12 numbers, located on the edge of the area of gambling.
For betting “external,” the dealer will put their winning chips alongside your original bet. It is your decision, collect both the winners and the original wager, after reimbursement. All bets “internal” are paid by the dealer directly to you. As mentioned. The dealer knows that you are the winner by the color of your chips. In many situations, more than one card of a color is a winning number. Again, your original bet is left on the number or combination of numbers and your decision is the claim that bet. Naturally, you can leave again for the next round or even add more pieces of the won.
Understanding the Wheel
The roulette wheel, perfectly balanced, consisting of 38 identical slots, individually numbered from 0, 00, 1 to 36. In total, 38 numbers are represented on the betting table.
Each game begins when the dealer, turns the wheel in one direction and then rolls a little ivory ball on the inside edge of the wheel in the opposite direction. As the wheel spins, the ball loses speed. Bounces among the slots and finally falls into one of the numbered slots. That number is declared the winner of that game. Incidentally, there are about 90 spins or games played per hour, on average.
You will notice on our illustration of the roulette wheel standard, the numbers are not consecutively ordered around the wheel. By design, they are alternating between red and black and exactly opposite to each number is the number higher or lower than that. Spend a ruler or something straight to the diagram and you will see that 0 is the opposite of 00, 1 is opposite the 2, and so the 35 directly opposite the 36. All red numbers are opposite the black numbers.
The advantage of the house, is 5.26%, resulting from the player receiving odds of 35 to 1, instead of the actual probability of 1 in 36 or 37 to 1. In summary, this advantage is comparable to the “rake” in poker, and in some bets on the dice table, in baccarat and other games, including betting on sports. The 0-simple in the European roulette wheel has a house advantage of only 2.70%. the player has a 1 in 37 chance of winning and still gets 35 to 1.
Some casinos use a rule in prison, where, when a zero or double zero, all gambling fair, are helpful (or just a half) depending on the outcome of the next turn.
